Congress offers free consulting to MLB
Normally, when a business is having internal issues they either have their own Internal Affairs Department come in to fix the problem or the company hires an outside consultant to study the problem.
In the case of Major League Baseball, they were provided with a third option. A free option at that! Congress.
A congressional committiee has been investigating steroids in baseball over the past few weeks. In response to the Mitchell Report, which actually turned out to be quite useless the Congress decided to use its valuble time to work on an issue so unimportant to their constituents.
If Major League Baseball has a steroid problem, let them pay for the solution. When there is a war going on, a struggling economy, and a healthcare crisis, Congress should probably be spending a little less time trying to perjure Roger Clemens.
Let’s work on something that will actually make a difference for a change.
