I’ve spent hours combing over articles in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, CNN, and blogs. It seems to me that this Paulson Plan is pretty far from getting any sort of okay from Congress, and I honestly hope it stays that way. Purchasing all this costs way too much money when all we really need to do is get the market for this stuff moving.
Of everything I’ve read, I find the proposal of top economist, Brian Wesbury. The plan has been most promoted by Dave Ramsey, the “Get out of Debt Guy.” While I sometimes question Dave’s macroeconomic theories, I think he’s made an excellent choice in going towards Brian’s (and likely other economists’) plan.

I know I said my last post would be a couple of days ago, but after the week I had plus an 8 hour car ride back to Fort Wayne I was pretty tired.
SoÖhere are my final thoughts.
I find the Iowa caucus to be both maddening and wonderful at the same time. On the one hand, here is 234,000 Democrats deciding who the frontrunner would be for the balance of the primaries.

My good friend and fellow political junkie Chris Wright has been instrumental in getting our coverage of politics for the Caucus. Here are a few thoughts on our whirlwind experience.
For me, this was an eventful and life changing experience. Going into this week, I had only met a few of the candidates. Earlier in the summer, I traveled out to Iowa to attend the Iowa state fair. I thought that week was good, but nothing could have prepared me for the 5 days I have spent here in Iowa. …

My good friend and fellow political junkie Tyler Platt has been instrumental in getting our coverage of politics for The Caucus. Thanks to him, Chris and I have a place to stay and someone who knows Iowa to show us where to go. Here are a few thoughts on our whirlwind experience.
And it is over. Being originally from Iowa, and now a student at Iowa State University, I have really left this experience with a tremendous sense of pride in what is quite possibly the most authentic and most fascinating democratic forum in the world. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to share …

Our Final Run-Ins
We did not expect this day to be as fruitful in terms of engaging with political candidates and surrogates ñ we figured the candidates would be on such a frantic schedule that exactly nailing down where they would be seemed very difficult.
We were wrong.
We ate at a restaurant called Olde Main Brewing Company in downtown Ames, not really expecting anyone to show up. In walked Ted Danson and his wife Mary Steenburgen. Normally Iíd be floored by seeing people like Danson and Steenburgen, but we had run-ins with so many different people of fame that I just assumed we should leave them to their …
