The Caucus: Day Three

john-cox-president.jpgDay three was a very interesting day. We didn’t actually attend any political events until later that night. It was, however, a fantastic experience – we were a part of an NPR discussion in the first event and then went to the final large scale Senator Clinton rally where she pulled out all the stops and brought out all of her top gun supporters – including her husband (and one of my true heroes) Bill Clinton.

The Caucus: Day Deux

chuck_norris.jpgToday was a big day, and we had big ambitions for the day at its advent. Even with these trucks, there were a myriad of overturned vehicles in the median, including one semi truck.

I was under the assumption …

The Caucus: Iowa, here we come…

indiana_to_iowa.jpgToday at 10 AM Chris Wright, Tyler Platt (two of my high school friends) and I will begin an 8 hour drive out to Des Moines to immerse ourselves in the last few days of the Iowa Caucus.

The stakes are high: Iowa will provide two candidates, one from each of the major political parties with momentum going into the nation’s first primaries and will most likely prove to spell the death knell for others. The battle is even more intense this year as Iowa on both sides is anybody’s game - there is a three way race on the Democratic side and a two way race for the …
