Grown tired of the phrases “failed Bush economic policies” and “the last 8 years of this administration” have I, or at least my inner Yoda rebukes the continual repetition of these soon to be cliche phrases.
Even as we, America, rush to force our President of the past decade out of office, we must pause and take a moment to reflect and examine Mr. Bush’s administration. We must look deeply and analytically to discover the true gift has Bush’s presidency has offered our country and President-elect Obama. The current situation, the state of our country, most notably our economy is not the fault of George Bush, it is not the fault of the Democrats, the Republicans, the Libertarians, the bankers, or …

On Tuesday, November 11-just a week after the election-myself and a crowd of just over 1,000 people joined Former Senator John Edwards at the IU Auditorium for a lecture running for public office and the future of America. While I enjoyed the lecture and the event showed the speaking power of the man, I felt it was missing an intellectual ingredient. Senator Edwards seemed to gloss over many of the issues we’re seeing America battle and I can’t honestly say I was inspired much by his rhetoric. With Obama dragging out his selection process for at least few more weeks, we’ve still got plenty of time to speculate about the myriad of potential candidates, but recently Indiana Senator Evan Bayh has been thrust into the spotlight as a likely choice for the VP nominations. Add to the fact that John Edwards is essentially out of the picture with his recent spectacle, Bayh has all the more chance of landing the job.
Bayh made a joint appearance with Obama last week in Indiana and appeared opposite Joe Lieberman on Fox News Sunday arguing vehemently in favor of Obama’s policies and giving that ever-so-famous non-answer to the …

I’ve decided that I can’t keep bashing the Democrat’s Universal (Socialized – you can call it whatever you like, but it is what it is) Healthcare Plan without offering up a solution of my own. Now let me start by saying that I’m open to changing this plan. In fact, I’m all for scrapping the entire plan or at least large parts of it. But this the best solution I’ve been able to come up with that continues on with the free market American way (controlled with a standardized plan, mind that) and maintains the high-quality of healthcare in this country.
I’m come up with a plan that mixed the current system with some of the elements I feel are the …
